Like working with a Rubix Cube, the redesign of this four-sided fireplace required a keen sense of proportion and color. Hand-glazed Art Nouveau style tiles were custom-made and then applied to a new oak mantel and platform hearth. Individual focus was then given to each accent tile embedded into the drywall above the mantel, so as to further accentuate the clients' ceramic collection.
