About the Project
The upscale, contemporary hotels found throughout Los Angeles served as inspiration for the home of this hip, young couple. Because the clients spend much of their time at home entertaining friends, we spread a variety of seating areas throughout this open space to allow their guests to sprawl out and socialize. Funky fabrics and one-of-a-kind contemporary furniture pieces, including a 'bubble chair' suspended from the ceiling and a red plush velvet extra wide chaise set on a gray fur rug, bring a sense of liveliness into the room. A custom-designed onyx dining table glows from below to suit swanky evening dinner moods. The dining table is separated from the other seating groups by a mirror-backed plasma screen TV which is suspended from the ceiling. The entire space is completed with a fully-integrated top of the line home theater and entertainment center.
